The rate of growth calves Simmental depending on the duration of embryogenesis and season of birth
In terms of the farm «Pchany-Denkovich» Zhydachiv district, Lviv region found that the best in the embryonic period and postembryonic grow and develop heifers second group with a mean duration of embryogenesis 280–289 days. The most effective breeding Simmental heifers of different duration embryogenesis born in winter, because they were the best indicators of fetal growth rate and live weight at birth. During embryonic development of animals under the influence of heredity and state parent body formed features of the body structure and physiological functions, whose development after birth is largely determined by the conditions postembryonic period, so in terms of management appropriate to carry out the selection of heifers with the peculiarities of their development in early ontogeny to facilitate to a certain extent, the formation of the desired type and level of performance.
