Lead influence on blood leukocytes scaly carp

Abstract

Fishes much more sensitive than higher vertebrates, heavy metals that have a significant effect on immunological reactions. The main role in the immune response of the body belongs to immune cells, which include primarily lymphocytes. The study of white blood cells makes it possible to assess the general physiological condition of the body its stability, ability to adapt to environmental conditions and in particular to toxic substances that pollute water bodies. The purpose of the work was to investigate changes in leukocyte carp flake under conditions of short–term action Lead. Required Lead concentrations of ions created by introducing into water concentrations of 0.5 and 5 mg/l Pb(CH3COO)2. Lead ions of fish kept 96 hours. Blood is taken using the Pasteur pipette with heart fish. The number of leukocytes was determined by counting in the Goryaev`s chamber . The relative content of leukocytes determined in cytological specimens of fish blood. Statistical analysis of the results was performed using Statistik using Student's t–factor. As a result of studies found a likely increase in the total number of white blood cells to 36 52% (P 0,001) and shift leukocytic blood left by the increase of histiocytes in fish research groups. The results indicate the tension level of non–specific immune system of fish under the conditions of influence Lead ions.
