Histological characteristics of cocks’ testicles under influences of fodder additive «Yeselcin»

Abstract

In the article we  presented the indicators of average and absolute weight and  histological studies of the right-sided and left-sided testes of cocks under the effects of fodder supplement «Yeselcin». Production tests were created with a watersoluble suspension of «Yeselcin» in a vivarium on 24 cocks of the LOMAN LSL CLASSIC egg breed at the age of 120 days. For this purpose, the livestock was divided into two groups: control and experimental (n = 12). Roosters of the research group, were given it with drinking water, for 7 days. Three weeks after the end of the course, 7 cocks from each group were withdrawn from the experiment, an autopsy was performed and the right-sided and left-sided testes were taken, weighed, the absolute mass was determined, samples were taken which were fixed in a 10% water solution of neutral formalin, they were unwatered in alcohols and were poured into paraffin. Histological sections were made and they were stained with hematoxylin and eosin. The prepared histopreparations were examined under a light microscope Leica DM-2500 (Switzerland) and photographed with a Leica DFC450C camera. It was founded that during the feeding of 120-day-old cocks with water-soluble suspension containing vitamin E and citrates of selenium and zinc during 7 days, the mean absolute mass of the left-sided testis was increased significantly and was 16.61 ± 1.05 h, and the right-sided 14.93 ± 1.15 h, whereas in the cocks of the control group this index was: left-handed – 12.42 ± 0.12 g, right-sided 11.79 ± 0.63 g, which is by 33.7 and 26.6%, respectively. more in comparison with the control group. The increase of the average and absolute mass of the testes of the roosters in the research group was consistent with the results of light-optical studies. It was founded microstructuraly increase of seminiferous tubules in comparison with the control group due to enrichment of their spermatocytes of the I and II orders and, spermatids in the protoplasm of the protoplasm of the sostotocyte (Sertoli cells). In the lumen of the tubules, in comparison with the control group, there were formed much more spermatozoa . At the same time, in the interstitium the testicle was marked by a moderate loosening of the connective fibers and an increase in the number of Leydig cells. The obtained results of the morphological research showed that drinking water of cocks of 120 days of water soluble suspension of «Yeselcin» promotes higher fertility of sperm production of cocks, which will affect the improvement of reproductive function and hatchability of breeding eggs and the production of chicks with high viability.
