Abstract

Improving the quality of life is the introduction of ecological, safe for humans and animals new biopreparats. Used for growing animals antibiotics, hormonal stimulants, and other potentially hazardous chemotherapy leading to deterioration in all index of physiological state of the body. The aim of this study was to analysis of published data of foreign and Ukrainian scientists, manufacturers on the use dietary supplements for animals – stimulators of growth, metabolism and productivity, one of which is protein–vitamin–mineral supplement «Biostym–40» for dogs and cats, developed Technological Institute of milk and meat Ukrainian Academy of Agrarian Sciences. Analyzing primary sources revealed that the feed additive does not investigated, no data on its possible toxic effects on the body of laboratory and domestic animals, and does not set its role in influencing metabolism and antioxidant defense system of the body and therefore further investigation of the drug «Biostym –40» is actually.
