Abstract

The situation in Ukraine of the spread of emergent infectious is analyzed. It is proved that nowadays more than 180 taxis of emergent infectious are isolated and in Ukraine the most intense situation is concerning the african plague (ACHS), transmissible gastroenteritis of pigs (TGS) is a significant role of epidemic diarrhea pigs (EDS) as well. At the time, a few decades ago, these diseases were common in Ukraine. In this article, we draw attention to one of them, the porcine epidemic diarrhea virus. The current data on porcine epidemic diarrhea virus is generalized, its origin and spread, as well as clinical signs and patholog-ical changes and diagnosis and prevention. Our analysis shows that to eliminate the virus completely from the troubled farm is a too difficult task that is virtually impossible to implement because the pathogen persists among reproductive herd and are circulating among pigs. The given information will contribute to the development of The National Biosafety Concept, program monitoring, prediction and control of emergent diseases.
